Major Gold-Label marathon through Mexico City, high altitude, scenic urban route.
Annual 42.195 km road race held on city streets in Mexico City. As of 2025, capacity ~30,000 runners. The race starts near UNAM’s Olympic University Stadium, follows major avenues including Insurgentes Sur and Paseo de la Reforma, and finishes at the Zócalo. It’s a Boston Marathon qualifier.
Ticket Pricing
For national (Mexican) runners: ~$750 pesos early, rising to ~$800 pesos later.
For foreign/international runners: ~$110 USD.
If registering during the Expo just before the race, fee increases (~1,150 pesos for both groups if spots remain).

Eligibility
| • Minimum age 18 years on race day • Valid ID required • Foreign runners must pay international rate • To claim Mexican-national prizes, must satisfy benchmark finish times and be Mexican (birth or nationality) • Must comply with time limits (approx. 6 hours) on the course |

First place (overall, men & women): US$50,000
Second place: ~ US$20,000
Third place: ~ US$10,000
For Mexican nationals, bonus prizes available for those who finish under certain benchmark times (e.g., for men under 2:14:00, women under 2:42:00).
Additional prizes for top Mexicans and special record or route bonuses.
